We were hired by Empire Design to do the job and we work there as freelancers. I’m still working on Party Girls the graphic novel and a few other things .

Finally the  Stoker  international film poster is out! Myself (Fay Dalton) & John Keaveney hand drew the entire poster. Hope you all like it!

Also! Check us out in action in the Stoker promo video. If you look carefully you can see me (John Keaveney) in the video. Make sure you watch the video with sound.

Cut and Paste Characters workshop II

More characters from first year students

Congratulations

Congratulations to Siobahn Mckenna and Amber Jefferson – Grant they have both been offered work placements by Laura Bullivant the Learning and Community Engagement Officer for SW Hampshire Museums and Arts Service. Their work and others had to go through a process of consultation with interested groups in the project. They were chosen and now Siobahn will be working on a county wide exhibition for 2013 focusing on the domestic life of Victorians. She will be creating all of the illustrations. Amber will be developing an illustrated narrative about smugglers in the New Forest area aimed at primary schools for use in the classrooms. This is fantastic for them. Well done.

Alumni - David Lupton

Since graduating from Portsmouth and after going on to study for an MA in Sequential Illustration at Brighton, I have carved a steady career as a freelance illustrator based primarily in London (although I did live in Edinburgh for a bit).
My work has been featured in publications such as Time Out, The Guardian, New Scientist, and Dazed & Confused. I have also worked with a number of publishing houses including Oxford University Press, Harcourt and Dreamwiz and for record companies such as Rough Trade, Sony Entertainment and Virgin.  My illustrations have also been used in many other ways including music videos, promo advertising, production design and childrens picture books.

Recently, I have had my first picture book, entitled Goodbye Bracken, published by Een Art in South Korea, have created artwork for RCA Records and their band, 'Dry The River' and I'm currently working with the company MADEFIRE on an interactive illustrated horror story.
You can see more of David's wonderful illustrations here:
